I worked with the memories and observation in the process of supporting people through grief and repetition of greeting new patients. I could observe the different forms of care provided by fellow nurses, patients’ families and caregivers. Within this care, I could collect different forms of ‘Token of Love’ for patients. Through the repetition of labour, at times seemingly trivial and tedious, I wanted to seek and find love within these moments. In Korea, people used to give patients fruits, flowers, cups and so on. Especially, fruit baskets were commonly seen in hospitals in Korea. Due to the expensive nature of fruits in Korea, fancy fruit baskets are often used to express love to patients. Ironically, patients who just had an operation or who have low immune systems could not be able to eat these fresh fruits.
